Description
This Lakeside Cottage has a welcoming, laid back feel to it that says you're on vacation. When you walk in, you have a magnificent unobstructed view of Loon Pond. You have the cozy leather sofas waiting to embrace you and a huge custom made coffee table. You see the creative industrial style finishing touches. There's so much to explore in this unique fun property!
There are two bedrooms on the main level. Both have a queen bed. On the lower level you will find another bedroom which overlooks the lake - this bedroom has a king bed and a bunk area where there are 2 doubles beds on bottom.

Step out onto the deck where you can breathe in the fresh air at Loon Pond and see yet another deck below. The lower deck is 6' from the water.
You see the sandy bottom of the lake which has a very gradual entry into the lake - great for the little ones.
Loon Pond is a healthy, prized status, spring fed, warm water lake, maximum depth of 10', 94 acres and has good fishing - Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Chain Pickerel, Minnows, Golden Shiners, Hornpout (bullhead) Pumpkinseed Sunfish. Yes! There are Loons on Loon Pond!
There is a 30' wood dock and a 7' x 5' floating dock.
There are two kayaks available to paddle Loon Pond and discover there's a portage onto larger Mousam Lake which allows you more waterfront to discover.
Roast s'mores over the lakeside fire pit.
Parking for 4 vehicles - no on street parking allowed.

Had an amazing stay at Edgewater! Loved everything about it, it was the perfect combo of modern mixed with rustic/campy. The deck was perfect for us all to hang out and loved having the firepit right there. Starting my day with that view (and a mimosa!) was like heaven!!

Patricia thank you for allowing my family and I to experience your lovely lake house. The views were amazing and zen. The home decor was my type of style if I had a lake house loved the leather couches and wood panels. We especially liked that it was equipped with board games, puzzles, binoculars and the kayaks which we used all! Thanks for being a great host and always quick to reply to our requests.

Amazing lake house for a quiet get away with family and loved ones. It was fully equipped with amenities and entertaining things (games, puzzles, books, binoculars, kayaks and fire pit) for the guests to enjoy. The views were very scenic and zen. The water is like any lake still water but we saw fishes and ducks! And its not so deep where its welcoming to go in and get your feet wet. Overall the location is about 40-50min away to go on daily trips to other nearby points such as Ogunquit. Old Orchard Beach, York, and even Portland which is what we did. The lake house is very spacious as it has double levels with bedrooms can easily fit 8 people!

Loved the area...we saw a bald fishing 2 or 3 times. Only saw one Loon, but I think it was the time of the year and a great Heron sat on our dock our last morning there!!
Nice safe shoreline for little ones - they can run in and out and never go above their waist. Looks small on the outside, but plenty of space inside.
Favorite Feature: Walk in water!!!

Favorite Feature: The kids (and adults) enjoyed the dock and floating dock, as well as kayaking on the lake...literally at your front doorstep.

If you are looking for a beautiful cottage on a quiet Maine pond, this is the place for you! Edgewater offers accommodations for your whole family and many wonderful amenities that make this camp your home away from home. My family and I just returned from a week there and would highly recommend this location to my friends and extended family. While visiting Edgewater with my grandchildren, our little ones enjoyed a safe, sandy, gradual swimming environment and my older grandchildren loved the deeper wooden float to dive off of and practice cannonballs. Fishing and kayaking was great fun for the whole family and making smores by the campfire in the evenings topped off our days adventures. The large lower deck was the perfect place to spend our afternoons and the smaller upper deck offered a quiet spot to enjoy a book and a morning coffee. We are definitely Edgewater fans and hope to return next year!

This is a pet friendly property for up to Two pets. Pet Fee is $150. Some pets may find it easier to navigate between floors by using the outdoors rather than the inside stairway, which currently has an open construction.
Pet Policy:
The purpose of this pet policy is written to mitigate potential misunderstandings with guests and set expectations for their stay.
Number of Animals — Observe limit on the number of pets allowed at the property.
Type of Animal — Observe type of pets allowed.
Housebroken — We require that the animals be housebroken. This helps avoid indoor accidents in a new, unfamiliar environment, and will save you the hassle and money of having to clean up a mess.
Furniture — Pets are NOT allowed on the furniture. Though this is a difficult policy to enforce, we recommend that guests bring a bed or pillow for their pet’s comfort if necessary.
Waste Cleanup — This is a must! Guests are required to remove their pets’ waste in the yard and surrounding areas. Please dispose of dutifully.
Leash Policy — Maine has a Leash Law! Fees for violations will be passed on to guests!
Flea/Tick Policy — Pets are required to be on tick and flea prevention when they come to the property. We take these measures to ensure that the properties stay pest-free.
You are welcome to bring additional kayaks, paddle boards, canoes or a skiff. Kayaks, Canoes and Paddle Boards available for rent from a local marine store. They will deliver and pick up at your cottage. Please email Erin Michaud at [email protected] for pricing and to make your reservation.You may use the boat launch just down the road for a fee of $10. To drive to that boat launch, continue down Loop Road to the water and you will see a small boat launch.
