This place is a gem. It is on the smaller side but was perfect for our family of four plus dog. The lake was quiet and beautiful. We so appreciated the boats, sandy beach, and fire pit. A perfect getaway. We are hoping to be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sweet Cottage. Everything was as expected, check-in and out were simple and the location and views on Loon Pond were superb. It was very clean and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back!

This is an excellent option if you are looking for a kid-friendly place on the water that is less than two hours from Boston. It is reasonably priced, was peaceful, well equipped and clean. We loved the porch and I think we had the best view of the sunset (which by the way is spectacular) on the entire pond ! We loved access to the canoe, kayak and the paddleboat and the kids will love all the toys! We found neighbors to be friendly. Patricia and the owners were super responsive and friendly. They even loaned us four bikes for our stay. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet space, this cozy cottage is highly recommended.

Sweet Cottage is exactly that, Sweet! This was a our second stay here and it was just as wonderful as our first stay which is why we came back! The cottage is clean and has everything you need. Theres a few games and puzzles to unwind with.

Sweet Cottage on Loon Pond is a great place for your home base during a Southern Maine vacation. The cottage is conveniently located to many activities including mini golf, restaurants, and the ocean beaches. We spent our days out and about and our evenings kayaking, paddle boating and fishing. There is a cozy fire pit for after sunset and plenty of living room/dining space for family game nights. The cottage comfortably fit our family of 4 (which includes 2 teenage boys). The boat and kayak were really fun for the whole family! We would highly recommend Sweet Cottage on Loon Pond to anyone we know! Thank you!

Patricia was very responsive from the time of booking through check out. She was incredibly helpful and provided local tips/info prior to arrival so we had some idea of places to check out. Upon arrival, there was an adorable goody bag with smores items and playing cards. We enjoyed all of those items nightly!

The cottage was definitely sweet! The whole experience was sweet! The kayaks and paddle boat that were available to use were a fantastic bonus! Our kids loved the kayaks. The cottage was clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen wares. The location was perfect, right on the pond with a gorgeous view and perfect sunsets each night! I wish we didnt have to leave! We look forward to coming back sooner than later!

Complaints were received from guests last summer that the neighborhood was noisy. We want guests that are booking to be aware. Some folks are more sensitive to this than others.
If you would like to bring your own kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, please note, at the property there is not a place to drive these water craft to the lake. You either need to carry them down to the water OR you can launch them at the boat launch across the lake for a fee of $10. To drive to that boat launch from Route 109 in Acton, you would turn onto the FIRST Loop Road. Head straight down to the water and you will see the boat launch at the corner. You are not able to leave your vehicle there so someone would have to take the water craft to Sweet Cottage while the other guest returns the vehicle to Sweet Cottage. There are no right of ways available near Sweet Cottage to drive your vehicle. Please be respectful of the neighbors and not drive on their lawns/yards.
